Gerard Sartori
President

As a founding partner, Gerard brings 17 years experience in the Reverse Logistics Industry to Qualanex, most recently serving as the Director of Sales and National Accounts for Stericycle, Inc.

Prior to joining Stericycle in January of 2004, Gerard spent 6 years as the Senior National Sales and Account Manager for Universal Solutions (USI) with top and bottom line responsibility for new business development, senior national account management, and high level sales of USI pharmaceutical services to some of the nations largest pharmaceutical companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Bristol Myers Squibb, Novartis, Schering-Plough, Bayer and Pfizer. The services included trade return services, recall/product withdrawal, direct mail and sales representative sample returns.

Prior to USI, Gerard spent 8 years as the Director of Sales and National Account Services for the Ballantine Group, a NJ based pharmaceutical logistics company. As Director of Sales and National Accounts, Gerard was responsible for new business development, high level presentations of Ballantine's reverse logistic services to Senior Executives within the Pharmaceutical Industry, contract negotiations, account management and client services.

Jeffrey Doherty
Chief Information Officer

Jeff has worked for more than 18 years as an information technology professional, 11 of which have been in software design and systems architecture in the Reverse Logistics Industry. This experience includes:

  • Web based and stand-alone client server Reverse Logistic management systems
  • Field applications for the purpose of audits and off-site processing
  • DEA-ARCOS management applications
  • Schedule II management systems
  • Integrated waste characterization management
  • Automated product sorting systems
  • Return Authorization (RA) processing
Through his career, Jeff has also gained experience providing direct support for systems hardware architecture and infrastructure, managing web development project for B2B and developing ground-up applications for internal use for companies such as UOP/Honeywell and WW Grainger.

Herb Youngblood
Vice President of Business Development

Herb has spent more than 25 years providing new business development and sales team leadership in the areas of Healthcare sales and sales management, contributing to periods of significant growth in sales within “blue chip” Fortune 200 companies such as Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and AmerisourceBergen.

Herb offers extensive large account management and consultative selling experience to executive level decision-makers in national & regional healthcare organizations focusing on Manufacturing, GPOs, Distribution and Healthcare delivery systems.

Specifically, Herb brings expertise from work within pharmaceuticals distribution & manufacturing through his experience managing trade returns and recalls, brand protection initiatives, institutional pharmacy services and medical supplies and devices

Lynn Gustofson
Director of Recall Management Services

Lynn has spent over 14 years in the pharmaceutical reverse logistics industry gaining experience in the management of pharmaceutical recalls and product withdrawals for top manufacturers and their trading partners. Over the years Lynn worked directly with pharmaceutical manufacturers in the planning, initiation and management of numerous Class I, II, and III recalls.

Prior to joining Stericycle in 2005, Lynn was the Senior Recall Manager for Universal Solutions and managed a number of large pharmaceutical client accounts including AstraZeneca, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Bristol- Myers Squibb, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, GlaxoSmithKline and Watson Laboratories.

Lynn started working in the industry as the Senior Recall Coordinator for the Ballantine Group in 1993, where she spent many years managing key accounts, developing recall management systems, interfacing with the FDA, and insuring that every recall took place in a highly efficient environment.

Al Stolar

Director of Sales

Al has 12 years of experience in the Reverse Logistics Industry. Starting his career with Universal Solutions, he played a key role in the explosive growth rate experienced by that company.
After the acquisition of BFI Pharmaceutical Returns and The Ballantine Group, Al transferred to the Universal Solutions’ Pharmaceutical Division as a National Sales Executive.  His responsibilities included:

  • Leading a “Request For Proposal” response team
  • Signing new clients
  • Contract resolution
  • Orchestrating implementation of new accounts across all silo’s of both organizations
  • Account retention strategies
  • Account expansion initiatives
  • Coordination of executive overview meetings
Having worked with a vast array of clients and prospects, possessing varying degrees of sophistication and industry knowledge, has provided Al with an extensive background of the varying service levels needed to be successful.
